The Caves which are 1 Lac year old and Humans used to live here around 12000 years ago....


 We Always talk about the History, we have seen many places which depicts the rich heritage of our country, we have heard many true stories about the same.

we have also heard about one of the place which is an UNESCO World Heritage site and in the heart of India which is Madhya Pradesh. Its name is "Bhim Betka" which has caves which are more than one lac year old and it is believed that 12000 year ago humans use to live in these caves.

all the caves are from paleolithic age.

Where is this place 

This place is approximately 46 kilometers from BHOPAL, which is the Capital of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is called heart of India and is home of many historical places. 

How to Reach Bhim Betka 

You can reach to Bhopal from your respective locations by Road, Air & Train. Bhopal is connected through Trains and Flights from the Major Cities.

By Road you can travel from any of the city or states in India,

After reaching Bhopal either you can hire a cab or can go by bus to the Bhim Betka.

Entry Ticket at Bhim Betka

As it is a UNESCO World Heritage site so there is an Entry ticket for the same.

If you are going by walk there form the ticket counter, it is Rs. 12 per person an d if you are going by your own car, then the ticket is Rs. 150 Per car.

What to explore in Bhim Betka

Bhim Betka has more than 750 caves which are more than 1 Lac year old caves. It is believed that 12000 years ago humans use to live in these caves.

There are many signs of human lives living in these caves and one of the greatest sign is the paintings which they have done one the caves surface.

You can clearly identify the paintings and shapes which are painted on the caves surfaces.

In many caves you will get to see the paintings of Animals, or humans, humans sitting and riding horse and sitting on elephant etc. 

The most Interesting thing is that, these paintings are still visible on the caves surface after 12000 years and have not faded away.

Its an MP Tourism Site also so you will find the cleanliness and also the MP Tourism managed this really well. 

IF you are in Madhya Pradesh and in Bhopal and would love to explore the Historical pleases, then you should not miss this amazing place. we dint have much time as it needs 2 days atleast to explore all the Caves. we were able to explore only 13-14 caves in 2-3 hours.

Bhopal- The City of Lakes



In India Every state, Every city has a different culture, Food, Delicacies, People, Language, places to visit. Every City is different in states and you will find a complete cultural change in cities in the particular state also.

Likewise in India, Madhya Pradesh is an state which is famous for its heritage, History and Geography also. Its called the heart of "Hindustaan" and is having many ancient and Heritage Sites which is world famous, and lacs of people from around the world comes to visit these places.

We are going to explore and experience the Ancient city of Madhya Pradesh "BHOPAL" which also known as "CITY OF LAKES".

Bhopal is Capital of Madhya Pradesh. Its is famous for Its Man Made Lakes, Food, Art & Heritage, Culture, Hill & Lake View residentials etc.

We got a chance to visit around the city and covered 2-3 places during our Visit.

How to reach Bhopal

You can reach Bhopal from you resepective location by Train, By Road or by Air. Bhopal is connected from all the small and major cities through all the Travel Medium.Bhopal is in Central India for all the Trains and National Highways crosses Bhopal.

Where to Stay in Bhopal

It is a Major city of Madhya Pradesh and is a business hub also for many industries so staying is not a problem in Bhopal. You can stay in a Economical Guesthouse/Hotel to Luxurious hotels.

IF you really wants to explore the Heritage hotel in Bhopal then you can Stay in Jehan Numa Hotel, Noor-us-Sabah Hotel which are the heritage Properties converted to 5 Star Hotels.

Places to Explore in Bhopal

Thought there are many places to visit in the city but to name a few are-

Van Vihar

Bharat Bhavan

Manubhan ki Tekri

Bada Talaab

Boat Club

We Visited 3 Places which are good to visit any time of the year.

Manuabhan Tekri

This is the place which is on a Hill and has a Jain temple also at this place to visit.

This place is in the city and approximately half n hour drive from the Center of the city .

To reach this place you can use your own vehicle or can book cab and go.

As we said that this is on a hill so to reach that hill you can go by your own vehicle, Auto or cab of

you can enjoy the cable car which is on the base of the hill and it will take you to the top of the Tekri.

Its a Place from where you can view the Entire city and spent atleast 4-5 hours easily. There was a light rain, when we visited this place and the view from there of Entire City and Lake was Stunning. you can visit the Jain Temple which on hill only. You can have a 270 Degree view of the Entire city from the top.

Kerwa Dam

Bhopal has many Dam's in the Surroundings and al lthe dam's are must visit places in BHopal.

Be it Bhadbhada Dam, Kaliyasot, Kolar Dam, Halali Dam or Kerwa Dam.

We Visited Kerwa Dam and this place is a Picnic spot for All the Bhopal Peoples.

People use to visit this place on weekends and spend their day with their family and friends.

IT has a Dam and also a Forest too adjoining to the dam. In the forest area some small resorts are there where you can stay also for 1 or 2 nights and enjoy the Nature with many outdoor games and explore the Food.

The Dam is amazingly Scenic if you are going in the Monsoon as the Dam is filled with water and if you are lucky then you might get the Doors of Dam open so you can enjoy the Music of Falling water in there.

Adjoining the Dam there is a Kerwa Resort also which is a nice place to relax, and Rejuvenate. You can stay in this resort for a Day Picnic of 1 or 2 nights also. You Can have the refreshments in the restaurant there and relax in the greenery of the Resort and can have a Beautiful view of the Dam from a little height.

For people who are adventurous, can enjoy the zip Lining which was suppose to be the longest Dual Zip Line in India.

It is one of the Main attraction at that place.

The Resort is managed by Madhya Pradesh Tourism and we must mention this, that this is great to see all the Sites which is been managed by MPT, are really beautiful and managed by the Government Nicely. Kudos to the Madhya Pradesh Government and Madhya Pradesh tourism.

VIP ROAD

This is the most visited place in Bhopal for Bhopalians. This is also called the Marine Drive of Bhopal.

This is the place which is a favourite one for all the people in Bhopal for the Morning & Evening Walk and also a good place for old people and children's to enjoy. This road is made adjoining of the Bada Talaab which is one of the Man Made Ponds in Bhopal. It is made by Raja Bhoja who ruled Bhopal for many years and made this Talaab to Fullfill the need of Water for the City and surroundings people. There you can have a look of Statue of Great King.

At this place your can enjoy the evenings and if the weather is good then it can be a most amazing evening for you.

These three places we had explored in Bhopal and we loved it fullest.

Though we travelled in Pandemic so we dint have any food or out side meals during the travel.

We maintained the Social Distancing, Wore Mask and also sanitized our hands on every interval and we ensured that we stay safe and doesn't break any rules which has been set by the government for our protection.

Over all it was an amazing trip to Bhopal and you should not miss the places which we had mentioned.
